As part of HOPA’s partnership and sponsorship of the Student National Pharmaceutical Association (SNPhA) Cancer Clarity Challenge, we are seeking HOPA members to serve as mentors for participating student chapters
The Cancer Clarity Challenge is a national initiative designed to combat cancer misinformation through student-led, evidence-based education. Through this sponsored partnership, HOPA is supporting SNPhA chapters as they design and implement community-focused projects that:
Dispel common cancer myths
Promote evidence-based cancer education
Engage patients and communities through workshops, campaigns, and clinical partnerships
SNPhA expects participation from approximately 50 chapters nationwide, and HOPA aims to support these teams by pairing them with oncology pharmacy mentors who can provide clinical content expertise and professional guidance.
Mentors will serve as a clinical resource for assigned student chapters by:
Providing guidance on oncology-related content and educational accuracy
Offering feedback as chapters design their outreach and engagement strategies
Supporting students as they execute and report on their community impact
Student chapters remain responsible for project design, execution, and outcome reporting—mentors provide subject matter expertise and encouragement to strengthen project quality and impact. Mentorship may occur virtually or in person, based on availability and chapter location.
Campaign planning and outreach development: March–May 2026
Time commitment is expected to be modest and flexible, coordinated directly between mentors and their assigned chapters.
This is a meaningful opportunity to advance HOPA’s mission, support the next generation of oncology-focused pharmacy leaders, and expand our collective impact in addressing cancer misinformation nationwide.
