Pharmacy Peer Support Network SME - T Cell - Engaging Therapies

HOPA is seeking experienced oncology pharmacists to volunteer as subject matter experts (SMEs) for a Pilot Peer Support Network focused on T cell-engaging cancer therapies. This initiative is to provide timely, practical peer-to-peer support for oncology pharmacists navigating clinical and operational questions related to these rapidly evolving therapies.

As a volunteer SME, you will support fellow pharmacists by sharing your expertise, best practices, and real-world insights related to the safe, effective, and operationally sound use of T cell-engaging therapies in cancer care. 

Commitment: Flexible, peer-support-based engagement (no fixed hours). Participation is based on questions asked and availability during working business hours (i.e., 8am – 5pm). 

Time Frame: at least 6 months up to 2 years pending pilot success 

Format: Peer consultation via structured inquiries through electronic platform and email communication 

Selected volunteers will receive one (1) year of complimentary membership as a thank-you for their expertise and service to the oncology pharmacy community. 

 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Provide timely (within 24 business hours) peer – to – peer guidance on clinical considerations, including patient selection, toxicity management, monitoring, and supportive care for T cell-engaging therapies 

  • Share operational and practice-based insights, such as workflow integration, coordination of care, REMS considerations, staffing models, and institutional implementation 

  • Contribute practice, experience-informed perspective to help peers address real-world challenges 

  • Uphold professional standards, confidentiality, and evidence-based practice 

  • Support library of resources, best practices, and shared documents to track common questions and answers 

Eligibility Criteria 

To be considered, applicants must: 

  • Be a licensed pharmacist with oncology-focused practice 

  • Have at least 5 years of experience working with T cell-engaging cancer therapies 

  • Demonstrate clinical expertise, operational/practice-based experience, or both 

  • Be willing to share knowledge in a collaborative, peer-support environment
