I was wondering if anyone has had any luck with managing dysgeusia from tarlatamab or other bite therapies? We are seeing great responses from a cancer standpoint but patients are dropping significant amounts of weight from this adverse effect. It also doesn't appear to improve with duration of treatment. We have a patient that has been treating with tarlatamab for 14+ months and she still is dealing with this dysgeusia. Any helpful tips or tricks that have worked for you would be greatly appreciated.

    Hello Ashtin,

I completely agree that this is a tough side effect to manage.
We have tried dexamethasone oral solution 0.1 mg/mL swish and spit mouthwash for refractory dysgeusia. We use the same SIG as for Dato-DXd and everolimus (swish 10 mL for 1-2 mins then spit; no food or drink x 1 hr after use; 4x/day).
Dexamethasone oral solution is currently on shortage so may be challenging to find.
