BCOP Emerging Issues in Oncology Webinars - Call for Speakers

The HOPA BCOP Self-Study & Webinar Committee is looking for speakers for the 2017 BCOP Emerging Issues in Oncology Webinars. To be considered as a presenter, you must be board certified by the Board of Pharmacy Specialties (BPS), have clinical experience in the subject you are presenting, and have national or regional speaking experience.

The Emerging Issues in Oncology Webinars will be comprised of a series of five 1-hour webinars presented throughout the year focusing on late-breaking topics in oncology and oncology pharmacy. This series will be offered as a live interactive webinar and recorded to be made available as an online endured offering.

Each 1-hour webinar will deliver a review of key findings from clinical and translational research, and data presented at a national or international meeting. Each webinar will provide 1 hour of BCOP recertification credit, for a total of 5 hours of programming per year. These webinars will provide updates on data presented at non-HOPA hematology/oncology annual meetings (see list below).

As a presenter, you will attend the live meeting, identify the late-breaking topics relevant to HOPA membership, develop your presentation as well as write 7 BPS-style questions for inclusion in the post-test. The webinar attendees can attend any of the five webinars and must pass a post-test in order to receive credits toward BCOP recertification.

The are 5 meetings HOPA will be covering are:

- 2017 American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO)
- 2016 American Society of Hematology (ASH)
- 2016 San Antonio Breast Cancer Symposium (SABCS)
- 2017 American Society for Blood and Marrow Transplantation (ASBMT)
- 2017 American Society of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology (ASPHO)

Target Audience: Board Certified Oncology Pharmacists. These webinars will be particularly useful for those oncology pharmacists seeking late-breaking information and timely data impacting the spectrum of oncology and oncology pharmacy and who are unable to attend these meetings.

Qualifications to Submit

-Certified by the Board of Pharmaceutical Specialties
-Currently not under contract with ACCP or ASHP
-Speaking experience at: 1 or more National Conferences and/or 2 or more Regional Conferences
-Preferably should not have participated as a BCOP Presenter in the past 5 years

Travel & Reimbursement
HOPA is seeking qualified speakers who are already planning to attend one of the above listed meetings. An honorarium of $1500 will be given to each webinar speaker. HOPA will also reimburse for copyright permissions up to $1000/webinar.
